This 3 day theory course will allow candidates to understand and interpret the contents of the 18th edition of BS7671. The qualification demonstrates that delegates are up to date with the latest industry standards and best practice.

The course has been updated to include the new Amendment 4 released in April 2026. Candidates will be required to use the new orange book which contains significant updates to BS7671.

Entry Requirements

City & Guilds 2382-26 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018+A4:2026)

Open to all, no specific qualifications required.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

This course is primarily theory based focusing entirely on negotiating the BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations book

This course is designed for qualified electricians with relevant experience. It is also available for delegates who need to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the electrical regulations.

  • Understand how to assess the general characteristics of electrical installations

  • Understand requirements of protection for safety for electrical installations

  • Understand the requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations
