Course Details
The City and Guilds Solar PV course is designed for qualified electricians who wish to enter in to the renewables sector. On this course you will gain the skills required to safely install, commission and maintain solar PV systems. The course focuses on industry standards such as the IET Code of Practice for Grid-connected Solar Photovoltaic Systems and BS7671 aiding compliance with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
Available as a standalone qualification, candidates can also take advantage of our course bundle which includes the C&G 2923-34 Level 3 Award in Electrical Energy Storage Installations.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course candidates must have one of the following qualifications.
A current Installation, Maintenance or Domestic Electrician ECS Gold Card or any of the following:

C&G 5393 Electrotechnical in Dwellings

C&G 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical (installation or maintenance

C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (buildings, structures and the environment)

C&G 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification

C&G 2347 Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification
